It's unclear if Blackmon remains in Jacksonville's long-term plans, but the former first-round pick is eligible to apply for league reinstatement prior to the start of next season.
It's been a bumpy road for Blackmon, who already missed the first four games of the season for violating the substance-abuse policy. He also was charged with DUI at Oklahoma State, a charge that later was reduced to underage alcohol possession. And he was charged with aggravated DUI just prior to training camp in 2012.
That wouldn't surprise us. If he can stay out of trouble, Blackmon easily is the most talented player on this rebuilding team.
