Jacksonville Jaguars sign TE Maurice Stovall

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed tight end Maurice Stovall on Wednesday and released tight end Stephen Spach.

The veteran Stovall was a third-round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2006 out of Notre Dame. He has 52 receptions for 668 yards and three touchdowns in his NFL career.

Stovall played in 15 games for the Detroit Lions last season. He was cut by the Lions on Aug. 31.

Spach was signed last week and played on special teams in Jacksonville's Week 2 loss to the Houston Texans.
