The Indianapolis Colts haven't had many bright spots this season. One such standout is now lost for the season.
The Colts placed 2015 third-round defensive end Henry Anderson on injured reserve Monday morning. He is believed to have torn his ACL, based on initial tests, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, per a source who has spoken to the rookie. Anderson suffered the injury in the Colts' 27-24 win over the Denver Broncos.
Here's the rest of the injury news we are tracking on Monday:
- Panthers star linebacker Luke Kuechly has a stiff and sore ankle, but it shouldn't keep him out against the Titans, according to coach Ron Rivera. He could miss Wednesday's practice. Pass-rusher Charles Johnson is eligible to start practicing on Wednesday and can return to game action against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. He was placed on IR Boomerang with a hamstring injury.
On defensive back Antonio Cromartie, who's battling a deep quad bruise, Bowles said he's "50-50" for Thursday's game against the Bills. Defensive back Dion Bailey has a high ankle sprain, Bowles also announced. The head coach also said defensive back Calvin Pryor is "a ways away" with a high ankle sprain as well.
