Houston Texans to sign free-agent LBs Groves, Sidbury

The Houston Texans are signing two free-agent defenders, pass-rusher and special teamer Quentin Groves and linebacker Lawrence Sidbury, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday evening.

Rapoport cited a source in both cases.

Groves has played for the Jaguars, Raiders, Cardinals and Browns since entering the league in 2008. He has 8.5 sacks in 29 career starts.

Sidbury played in 48 games from 2009-12 with the Atlanta Falcons, none of them starts. His best season was 2011, when he posted four sacks.

He was on injured reserve for the Indianapolis Colts in 2013.
