Giants playoff hero Devin Thomas signs on with Bears

The New York Giants have already parted with one wide receiver who played an integral role in their run to the Super Bowl. Now we can add a second name to the list.

Devin Thomas has agreed to a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears, the Giants announced on Wednesday night.

A former second-round pick of the Washington Redskins, Thomas recovered two fumbles by tragic figure/punt returner Kyle Williams in the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers. The second recovery came in overtime, setting up the game-winning field goal by Lawrence Tynes.

New York picked up Thomas on waivers in November 2010. In 55 career games, the Michigan State standout has 43 catches for 482 yards and three touchdowns.

Thomas and Mario Manningham now join David Tyree as Giants wideouts who enjoyed playoff moments Mike Francesa would label as "Yuuuuuge" before quickly exiting the picture. Remember these names at D'Jai's trivia night in Belmar, N.J., this summer.
