DeSean Jackson: 'I'm ready to turn it up' against Eagles

Listening to DeSean Jackson, it's easy to hear that he's thirsting for some payback after a tumultuous exit from the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jackson, while promoting his Wounded Warriors charity softball game, told NFL Media's Dan Hellie on Tuesday's edition of NFL Network's *NFL Total Access *that he's already turned up about the Week 3 matchup between his Washington Redskins and the Eagles.

"Regardless if it is versus the Eagles in Week 3, that is highlighted, that is circled on the calendar," Jackson said. "But any time I go on the field, any game I ever play in the NFL ... any time I strap it up and play, I'm ready to turn on versus anybody. But that game will be highlighted and I can't wait to get it on versus whoever we play against. But for sure, that game you already know I'm ready to turn it up."

Jackson, who spent his first six NFL seasons in Philly, said he often thinks about showing the Eagles they made a mistake in cutting him.

"I think about that every time I step on the field, especially the legacy I have in Philadelphia and the things I've done for that organization," Jackson said. "I felt like I left back a lot there, but I had to take it to D.C."

Jackson said he had a "couple offers to stay home in California," (presumably with the Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers) but decided the Redskins, in the NFC East, offered the best opportunity for him.

In Washington, Jackson rounded out a dangerous group of pass-catchers, which includes Pierre Garcon, Andre Roberts and tight end Jordan Reed.

Jackson isn't the only person with the Week 3 Redskins-Eagles game circled. Come September 21, the entire football world will be watching to see if the receiver gets revenge against his former team.
