Danny Amendola of St. Louis Rams inactive vs. 49ers

The St. Louis Rams will try to beat (or, at least, tie) the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday despite not having their most talented pass-catcher.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola is inactive because of a foot injury, the Rams announced.

Amendola suffered the injury during a Week 11 loss to the New York Jets. He missed practice all week but loomed as a game-time decision after having his walking boot removed Friday.

It's a significant hit for Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, who's at his best when Amendola is on the field. The fourth-year pro has 51 catches for 576 yards in just eight games this season.

Amendola played just seven snaps in last Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals, and he hasn't seen any practice time in two weeks because of the foot. Amendola has struggled to stay on the field this season after missing three games with a dangerous clavicle injury and battling through a variety of injuries since.
