That didn't take long.
Feely, 37, has nailed 68 of 79 field-goal attempts (86.1 percent) in three seasons with the Cardinals, including a 5-of-7 mark from 50-plus yards. Carpenter was less accurate in Miami, connecting on 127 of 155 attempts (81.9 percent) over five seasons. He's been a mixed bag on deep kicks, hitting just 10 of 20 from beyond 50 yards.
FoxSports.com's Mike Garafolo reported that the Packers also showed interest in Carpenter, but Green Bay lost out. If you're itching for a kicker battle, however, you've got one in Arizona.
UPDATE: Looks like Feely isn't sweating it. "The job of management is to try and find someone better. Your job is to prove to them you're the best option," Feely told Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic on Wednesday.
