Cowboys' Spears looks forward to meeting with ex-teammate

We're not sure what about a reunion with ex-teammate Tashard Choice tickles Marcus Spears' funny bone, but the Cowboys' defensive end seems to find "Eddie Murphy Delirious"-levels of humor in it.

"It'll be funny," Spears said, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "We can't wait to see him. We're going to try to smack him."

Choice was released by the Cowboys last month and claimed off waivers by Washington on Oct. 31. Choice has been rehabbing a hamstring injury since joining the Redskins but is on schedule to return to action Sunday to face the team that selected him in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft.

"I'm glad he got an opportunity to get on with somebody and continue his career," Spears said. "I'm proud of him. He's like a little brother to me, so it'll be fun to see him. But he knows in between the clock it's football. He knows we'll be trying to hit him, and he'll be trying to get away."

Choice was released six days after DeMarco Murray's spot-on Adrian Peterson impression began with a 253-yard performance against the St. Louis Rams.

If he can avoid getting smacked by Spears and Co. too often, Choice might make the Cowboys regret what they gave away for nothing.
