Coughlin auctioning off Super Bowl goodies for charity

If you're a sports fan who likes to excessively spend for other people's stuff, you might want to check out Tom Coughlin's eBay page.

Coughlin just led the Giants to their second Super Bowl title in the last five seasons, putting him in rarified air among NFL coaches. Rightly sensing an opportunity to raise money for his charity, The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, the coach is auctioning off his game-worn hat and the flip card from Super Bowl XLVI. He autographed both items as well.

That's some serious memorabilia, but it's going to cost you -- the bidding starts at $5,000. There had yet to be any bids at the time this story was published.

Founded in 1996, Coughlin's foundation strives to assist children with leukemia and other cancers, as well as their families, by providing emotional and financial support to help reduce the stress associated with treatment and improve their quality of life.

Obviously, we're dealing with a great cause here. Giants fans, overturn those couch cushions and start digging.
