Cincinnati Bengals are NFL's trendy pick for 2013

So we're running this "Predict the Season" game this offseason that lets fans choose what teams are most likely to make the playoffs and, subsequently, advance.

Harrison: Post-draft Power Rankings

After the 2013 NFL Draft, Elliot Harrison updates his Power Rankings, with plenty of teams moving up and down the board. **More ...**

It's an interesting look at what's going to pass for "conventional wisdom" heading into the 2013 NFL season. And while Baltimore Ravens-inflation might be living large on the "Top 100 Players of 2013" list, there's not a lot of love for the defending champions from other fans.

The "Predict the Season" playoffs has moved into the divisional round, with the Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins all being eliminated. I'm surprised the Buccaneers and Colts were even there to begin with, but I'm more surprised the Ravens got knocked out by the Cincinnati Bengals.

This clinches a growing belief I've had lately: The Bengals are going to be a trendy team to make major noise this year.

I love the Bengals' overall talent; they have done a fantastic job drafting in recent years. I just don't love the quarterback. Of the eight teams remaining in "Predict the Season," Andy Dalton is the weakest. There should be a concern that he's going to hold this team back. There also should be a concern people are looking past the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North.
