Chargers LB Spikes suffered concussion vs. Raiders

San Diego linebacker Takeo Spikes' injury sustained during the Chargers' 24-17 loss to the Oakland Raiders was officially deemed a concussion, a team official said Friday.

Spikes went down during the second quarter and did not return to the game.

The Chargers also lost left tackle Marcus McNeill and right guard Louis Vasquez to injury during the game.

Spikes will get a few extra days to heal from his head injury as the Chargers do not play again until Nov. 20 against the Chicago Bears.
