Chandler Harnish, Mr. Irrelevant, to be celebrated

But for now, he's still best known for being the last pick (No. 253, Indianapolis Colts) in the 2012 NFL Draft, a reality that makes him "Mr. Irrelevant."

He'll be the guest of honor this week at Newport Beach, Calif., for Mr. Irrelevant Week, which exists, we swear. Harnish has been a good sport about the whole thing.

"The name 'Mr. Irrelevant' kind of puts a negative spin on it at times," Harnish told The Journal Gazette, "but for me, it's going to be a great experience. … There are not many opportunities in your lifetime you get to experience something like this."
