Brian Urlacher of Chicago Bears says he's been fined for tackle

Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher said he was fined $15,750 for a horse-collar tackle of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson on Sunday, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The play occurred late in the fourth quarter of a 28-10 home victory for the Bears.

Urlacher -- who won an appeal over a $5,000 fine in 2005 -- also told the newspaper that he was "for sure appealing" the fine.

It was an expensive game for players on both teams. Bears defensive tackle Henry Melton told the Tribune that he was fined $8,000 for grabbing Peterson's face mask in the third quarter.

Vikings defensive end Jared Allen received a $21,000 fine for a blindside hit on Bears right guard Lance Louis, which knocked Louis out for the rest of the season.
