Brian Orakpo: Johnny Manziel's gesture was 'hilarious'

The Washington Redskins weren't offended that Johnny Manziel gave their bench the one-finger salute during Monday's 24-23 win over the Cleveland Browns.

In fact, linebacker Brian Orakpo, who mocked Johnny Football's "money" celebration after a sack, found it quite funny.

"It was hilarious," Orakpo, who was noted by a teammate as the instigator, said per ESPN.com's John Keim. "We were messing with him a little bit, just saying this ain't college and stuff like that. We were having a little fun.

"Manziel flipped us off. It was something funny. We were all laughing on the sidelines."

The NFL likely won't view the incident as comical, and the rookie quarterback should expect his first FedEx envelope from the league office containing a fine notice.

Manziel said afterward that he hears a lot of chatter during the game but conceded he needs to keep better composure.

Redskins linebacker Perry Riley noted that getting in the rookie's head was just the topper on a good night for the Redskins' defense against the former Heisman Trophy winner.

"I think we won that battle with Manziel," he said. "Him flipping us off, that's just extra."

The latest "Around The League Podcast" recaps all of the action from the second week of the preseason.
