Bengals release QB LeFevour, add well-traveled Robinson

CINCINNATI -- The Bengals released quarterback Dan LeFevour from their practice squad Tuesday and replaced him with quarterback Zac Robinson, who was the New England Patriots' seventh-round draft pick last year.

LeFevour was on the Bengals' roster as the No. 3 quarterback last season, but he didn't get into a game. Robinson spent time last season with the Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions, but he didn't get into a game either. He played in all four preseason games for Detroit this year, going 9-of-15 passing for 91 yards with one touchdown. He was waived Sept. 4.

The Bengals also signed free-agent cornerback Rico Murray, who played eight games for them over the 2009 and 2010 seasons. He played in all four preseason games with the Bengals this year and was waived Sept. 3.
