Baltimore Ravens won't sign Jerry Rice Jr. after tryout

John Harbaugh thought Jerry Rice Jr. did a "nice job" during his tryout with the Baltimore Ravens. However, the wide receiver apparently wasn't nice enough to make the team.

The son of Hall of Fame wideout Jerry Rice told The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson in a text Monday that the Ravens said they wouldn't sign the wideout to a contract.

Rice Jr. said the Ravens liked his "hands, competitiveness and quickness" and will keep him on their emergency call list if injury decimates the team's receiving corps. The 5-foot-11 receiver went undrafted out of UNLV.

Rice Jr. tweeted that he has another tryout, this time with the San Francisco 49ers.

Now we will see if Jim Harbaugh feels better about the young receiver than brother John.
