Audio of Dez Bryant's mother's 911 call released

We don't relish writing these arrest stories. This is especially true as we learn more about Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant's alleged assault against his mother.

The 911 call made by Angela Bryant was released Tuesday, via and NFL Network later obtained the call as well.

"I can't keep letting him do this," said Bryant, who made a call at a nearby friend's house. "I can't keep letting him do me like this. I'm tired. I'm going to put an end to it today. I'm going to put an end to it today. I'm tired."

It's fair to say that Angela Bryant is indicating in the call that she and her son have a history of altercations. We have no idea how discipline will shake out in this case legally or with the NFL, but the whole case is depressing. The forced narrative of Bryant's maturation this offseason rings more hollow than ever.

UPDATE:NFL spokesperson Michael Signora told and NFL Network on Tuesday, "We are aware of it and it will be reviewed as appropriate."
