It's tight end Thursday for the Atlanta Falcons as they continue the search for Tony Gonzalez's replacement.
Moeaki, 27, spent the past two seasons battling various injuries. He appeared in just six games with 134 yards and one touchdown last season in Seattle. Moeaki displays the athleticism and pass-catching ability that the Falcons need from the position, but struggles to stay on the field.
Atlanta has been searching for a replacement for Gonzalez, a future Hall of Famer, since his retirement in 2013. Tamme and Moeaki could provide veteran safety valves for Matt Ryan and might be an upgrade on young, underachieving Levine Toilolo from a reliability standpoint. However, neither is the proven red-zone threat the Falcons have been missing -- a combined 15 career touchdowns. It's a position Atlanta could still look to stock through the draft.
