Atlanta Falcons safety William Moore fined $23K by NFL

William Moore's next paycheck will have a deduction.

The Atlanta Falcons strong safety was fined $23,152 by the NFL for his hit on Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews during the Falcon's 26-24 Week 1 win, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. Moore initiated contact with the crown of his helmet on the play.

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones was also fined $35,000 by the league for an unnecessary roughness penalty against the Oakland Raiders, as reported earlier this week.
