Arizona Cardinals' John Skelton injures right ankle

In the end, the Arizona Cardinals had no choice but to go with Kevin Kolb, and he delivered with the game-winning touchdown pass to Andre Roberts as the Cardinals topped the Seattle Seahawks 20-16.

John Skelton left Arizona's game in the midway through fourth quarter Sunday with a right ankle injury. He was ruled out after being carted off the field. It did not look good, and Skelton was in visible pain.

Skelton got off to a fast start, going 11-of-17 passing in the first half for 124 yards. The second half was a disaster: 3-of-11 passing for 24 yards and an interception on a pass he was trying to throw away.

Kolb was 6-of-8 passing for 66 yards and a touchdown on his one drive in relief of Skelton.

According to Jim Trotter of SI.com, Skelton's ankle isn't broken and he'll be treated for a high ankle sprain. Still, it looks like Kolb will be running the show for the Cardinals for a while.
