Andrew Luck working out with Colts' Reggie Wayne

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is apparently making up for lost time with receiver Reggie Wayne.

Colts receiver Donnie Avery posted a photo to Twitter on Thursday (as highlighted by Phil Richards of the Indianapolis Star) that shows Luck with several Colts receivers, including Wayne, Avery and undrafted rookie receiver Griff Whalen (who played with Luck at Stanford) in the University of Miami weight room.

Luck, who had to sit out much of the Colts' offseason program while he waited to graduate from Stanford, had been saying as early as May that he wanted to arrange time to work with Wayne.

Despite his lofty draft status, the California-based Luck traveled to Miami, where Wayne lives and went to school. Consider that Luck's version of carrying Wayne's shoulder pads and helmet.

How long Luck will be in South Florida is unclear, but with training camp coming up in 16 days, it wouldn't be surprising to learn of additional workouts. The bigger question is whether or not Luck will be signed in time for the start of camp. Owner Jim Irsay took to (what else?) Twitter on Thursday night to express his confidence a deal with Luck will be done by the time the rubber meets the road.
