Andre Ellington to get ball more for Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Andre Ellingtonhad a breakout performance Sunday versus the Atlanta Falcons, rushing for 154 yards on 15 carries.

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said he plans to get the ball to his most dynamic running back more often, per the team's official website on Tuesday.

To applaud this decision, we will watch this 80-yard, jump-cut-and-dash touchdown run on repeat for the next seven hours.

Arians has voiced concern all season that Ellington doesn't have the body to be a bell-cow back. However, the coach has seen enough to know he needs to get his playmaker the ball more. Those touches most likely will come in the passing game, in order to get Ellington in space.

Rashard Mendenhall is expected to return to the starting role, when healthy, and get the early-down carries.

We've all but begged to see Ellington get the ball more this season. He is, by far, the Cardinals' most talented running back. Keeping Ellington healthy is a team priority, but it sounds like we should see more of the young back on the field. Every extra down is a positive step in the right direction.
