Adrian Peterson: Why should I care what CJ2K says?

Adrian Peterson has a famously strong grip. He returns from torn ligaments in his knee faster than mere mortals, then somehow improves his already insane play. This is not a man to be trifled with, especially with weak Twitter questions.

CJ, of course, is Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson. Last week on "Total Access" on the NFL Network, Johnson said that he would outperform Peterson in 2013. But what's Johnson going to say? This is a supremely confident player, even if the results lately don't support that confidence.

(We also love Peterson's confidence. MVPeterson is a good final word.)

Peterson's tweet reminds us of the debate from a few years ago about who the best back in the game was: Johnson or Peterson. That topic seems rather quaint and regrettable in retrospect.

Peterson is now competing with the all-time greats. Johnson is likely to be competing with a mid-round draft pick.
