Six screen grabs describe lost night for Texans

If you thought you had a bad Monday, just be thankful you're not Brock Osweiler.

The quarterback hoped his return to Denver for a Monday Night Football matchup against the Broncos would serve as an opportunity to remind John Elway why he made a mistake letting his Peyton Manning protege sign with an AFC rival. Instead, pretty much the opposite happened. Osweiler was completely overmatched and the Broncos breezed to an easy victory that had to be beyond alarming for Texans brass.

Late in the fourth quarter and with ESPN looking to document something more interesting than a game long since decided, the cameras started panning to various Texans players and officials. Jon Gruden was shoveling plenty of dirt on the Texans during this portion of the broadcast, but the images told the story just fine.

Here are six screen grabs that best describe a lost night for the Texans. The captions are educated guesses.

"See, it says in my contract right here: That $37 million guaranteed is protected against sucking!"

"Trevor. I just want you to know that I appreciate you. Thank you so much for not being a rich and handsome 6-foot-8 quarterback with a long release and scattershot accuracy."

"I could still be playing with Tom Brady right now. I've made a huge mistake."

"I finished with 1,500 receiving yards last season catching passes from Brian Hoyer, Brandon Weeden, Ryan Mallet and T.J. Yates. You're telling me we don't have a single play that has me running something other than a 4-yard out?"
