Mike Glennon earns trust of Chicago with OK first pitch

The Bears sold themselves on Mike Glennon as a starting quarterback. Now comes the time for Mike to sell himself to the denizens of Chicago.

And what better way to ingratiate yourself than to throw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field, home of the defending World Series champion Chicago Cubs. (Damn, it was weird typing that.)

Here's Glennon warming up for his big moment. Jeez, he better not Baba Booey this.

And, just so you know, it appears Glennon has some work to do before Bears fans are sold that $18.5 million in guarantees bought them a franchise quarterback upgrade over Jay Cutler. A sampling from the peanut gallery:

UPDATE: Glennon, on balance, succeeded.

Pay no attention to the man behind home plate!

His decision to throw from the top of the mound -- like a real man -- clinches a 4,000-yard season with 28 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and 90.3 passer rating. Just you watch.
