Just win baby: Raiders support NBA's Warriors in ad

The NBA Finals begin tonight in Oakland, where LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers visit Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors in the first game of a best-of-seven series.

The Raiders took this opportunity to wish their Bay Area brethren good luck in a full-page ad in Thursday's edition of the San Francisco Chronicle.

The "Just Win Baby" text is, of course, a nod to the iconic Raiders statement of intent coined by late owner Al Davis. A cynic might see this as the long-slumping Raiders trying to attach their brand to a winner, but forget that. This is cool ad and a fun gesture.

We're unaware of the Browns buying out any ad space in the Akron Beacon Journal or The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, but the team's website does have a story under the headline "Browns feeding off Cavs' energy, in their corner as NBA Finals begin."

We're not sure how Cleveland's professional football team is siphoning energy from the city's professional basketball outfit. Then again, LeBron James could be seen as human Red Bull.
