Linebacker Shane Ray suffered what's believed to be a right MCL sprain early in the second quarter of Denver's over the Cleveland Browns, a source with knowledge of the injury told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. Ray is expected to miss four to six weeks, but he's scheduled to undergo an MRI to confirm the initial diagnosis.
Ray was helped off the field by two trainers and later carted to the locker room. He was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Here's the rest of Sunday's injury news:
- Rapoport reported that Bills second-year wideout Sammy Watkins suffered a sprained ankle near the end of the first half against the Bengals and was seen on crutches via CBS cameras outside the locker room as the second half began. He was ruled out for the remainder of the game. Watkins made the trip to London for this weekend's game against Jacksonville, but was seen in a walking boot and crutches Monday morning.
