Less than 24 hours before the start of free agency, the Bills have the market on fullbacks cornered.
Deals with DiMarco and Juszczyk cannot become official until Thursday at 4 p.m ET.
Jokes aside, both Tolbert and DiMarco are more than just your traditional fullbacks and will serve very different purposes in Rick Dennison's system. DiMarco can perform the duties of an H-back while Tolbert can lead block and also act as a power back in short yardage situations.
The 49ers, however, may have gotten the best value. Juszczyk is extremely versatile, which is a must in any offense Kyle Shanahan runs. Much like he flipped DiMarco all over the line in Atlanta, Juszczyk will be a jack of all trades for the new-look scheme in San Francisco.
While this is often a tired assessment of the league's current state of affairs, teams are interested in bigger backs as the rest of the NFL gets smaller and faster. While the fullback was presumed irrelevant, Wednesday proved that they are not dead yet.
