But like a vampire finding his footing, Peterson had developed a taste. He couldn't stop now. Another allergic reaction, this time caused by shrimp, led to an upset stomach that threatened his availability for a game against the Saints in 2015. He played and rushed for 95 yards.

Peterson admits he overindulged upon his arrival in NOLA, a story many a NFL player have told through the years.
"I was trying to stay away because when I first got here they [tested] my body fat and it was like 7 or 8 [percent]," he said. "And two weeks later I did it, and it was like approaching 9 or 10 [percent]. I was like, I wanted to make sure I stopped eating so good, but it's so delicious."
