Is a Peyton Manning-Tom Moore reunion in the works?

The reunion is one step closer to being realized.

Offensive consultant Tom Moore has left the Tennessee Titans with a desire to return to the ranks of offensive coordinator. Moore was the coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts from 1998 to 2008, where he and Peyton Manning won a Super Bowl together.

Did we mention that Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy took the San Diego Chargers' head-coaching job and there's an opening in Denver?

"They have their coaching staff set there at Tennessee, and I don't want anybody's job. I want a job that is open," Moore told The Tennessean on Tuesday. "I truly enjoyed myself while I was there in Tennessee. It is a great organization. It was a privilege to work for them the short time I was there.

"But Mike has a coaching staff, and a good coaching staff. So it is time for me to find something else."

Moore, 74, has three Super Bowl rings, but he said no teams have contacted him about a coaching position. It's unlikely that Moore would be a good fit with a young, rebuilding team. Denver seems to be a perfect fit.

As with all the coaching and general manager openings, stay tuned ...
