Darren McFadden hurts ankle in Oakland Raiders' loss

You might want to sit down for this one. The news is quite shocking.

Harrison: Week 14 predictions

There's plenty of intrigue on the Week 14 slate, including an epic Monday nighter. Elliot Harrison provides his weekly picks. **More ...**

Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden failed to finish Thursday night's loss to the Denver Broncos because of an injury. (I know, he's usually so healthy.)

McFadden returned to the Raiders' lineup after missing four games with a right high ankle sprain. He rushed for 52 yards on 11 attempts and caught a 6-yard touchdown pass. By the end of the game, McFadden was back with the medical staff receiving treatment on that same ankle.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen didn't have any information on the injury after the game, but Yahoo! Sports' Jason Cole reported McFadden "tweaked" the ankle and it's not as bad as before, according to a source.

The silver lining for any fantasy owners who welcomed McFadden's return -- at least he scored Thursday night. It was just the third time he has found the end zone all season.

Stay tuned for more news on McFadden's latest ailment.

UPDATE: Allen told reporters that McFadden's ankle is fine.
