The team announced Monday that the five-year NFL veteran from Penn State has signed a multi-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not released.

Shaw told The Tennessean that re-signing with the Titans was his first choice from the start of free agency.

"The process wasn't an easy one," he said. "But from the jump, Tennessee is where I wanted to be."

"This is where I wanted to be. I am excited about the direction this team is going," Shaw added.

Shaw, a linebacker, had 35 tackles on special teams during the two seasons. He was special teams' captain last year.
