Redskins sign veteran wide receiver Bradford

ASHBURN, Va. -- Free agent wide receiver Corey Bradford signed with the Washington Redskins on Thursday.

Bradford is a nine-year NFL veteran who played with Green Bay, Houston and Detroit. His best season came with the Texans in 2002, when he had 45 catches for 697 yards and six touchdowns.

Bradford has recorded 215 career catches for 3,346 yards and 25 TDs.

Also Thursday, the Redskins released receiver Danny Melendez.
