NFL Films and NFL Network win three sports Emmys

97 Emmys and counting for NFL Films

NFL Network and NFL Films combined to win three 2008 Sports Emmy Awards, it was announced on Tuesday in New York.

Inside the NFL on Showtime earned top honors for Outstanding Studio Show - Weekly against tough competition, including FOX NFL Sunday, NBC's Football Night in America, ESPN Sunday NFL Countdown and ESPN's Monday Night Countdown. NFL Films produces the show with CBS Sports and Showtime.

Cris Collinsworth was named Outstanding Sports Personality -- Sports Event Analyst for his work on NFL Network's Thursday Night Football and on NBC. Collinsworth won two Emmys for Sports Event Analyst in three seasons of NFL Network's Thursday Night Football.

In the Outstanding Post-Produced Audio/Sound category, NFL Films won for Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Dallas Cowboys (HBO). NFL Films' Road to the Super Bowl, which aired on FOX prior to Super Bowl XLII, was also nominated in the category. NFL Network presents an encore of Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Dallas Cowboys on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET beginning starting on Thursday, April 30.

NFL Films has earned 97 Sports Emmys, while NFL Network has won six in its five-year history.
