Williams' six years between 1,000-yard seasons is an NFL record

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams set an NFL record for the longest span between 1,000-yard rushing seasons at six years.

Williams' last 1,000-yard season came in 2003, but he reached 1,000 yards for this season on a 15-yard carry during Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans. It's the fifth 1,000-yard rushing season of Williams' 10-year career.

Williams also became just the seventh running back in NFL history to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season in which he was 32 or older at the start of it.
