Victor Cruz (neck) returned to New York Giants' game

Just when things started to turn around for the New York Giants, they suffered another key injury.

Victor Cruz left Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles in the third quarter with a neck injury. He went to the locker room immediately to undergo X-rays.

Cruz had five catches and 64 yards before leaving. He was slammed to the turf by Bradley Fletcher, and we're surprised the Eagles cornerback wasn't called for unnecessary roughness on the play.

UPDATE: Cruz quickly returned to the game after X-rays on his neck were negative. The Giants won the game, 15-7.
