Texans LB Clark sprains knee, might miss game vs. Cowboys

Danny Clark, a front-runner to start the season at strongside linebacker while Brian Cushingserves his four-game suspension for taking a performance-enhancing drug, sprained his knee during the Houston Texans' 38-20 preseason loss to the New Orleans Saints and is questionable for Saturday's meeting with the Dallas Cowboys.

The Texans already were missing Xavier Adibi (groin), another leading candidate to take Cushing's role. Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Sunday that Adibi's recovery is taking longer than expected.

"We're getting down to decision time with the Cushing situation, and if Danny's not available, that continues to put some pressure on which way we go from that standpoint," Kubiak said.
