Steelers re-sign backup quarterback Charlie Batch

PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Steelers re-signed backup quarterback Charlie Batch to a one-year contract on Monday. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Batch, a Pittsburgh native who was drafted by Detroit in 1998 out of Eastern Michigan, will enter his 15th NFL season and 11th with the Steelers. He threw for just 208 yards last season, but is 5-2 as a Pittsburgh starter.

He has 10,610 career passing yards and 60 touchdowns with 48 interceptions.
