Stanback back home in Seattle after Seahawks claim him from Pats

RENTON, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks announced Tuesday that they have claimed wide receiver, kick returner and former University of Washington quarterback Isaiah Stanback off waivers from the New England Patriots.

Stanback, a 26-year-old Seattle native, caught two passes in 10 games and returned 13 kickoffs during two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, who drafted him in the fourth round in 2007. The Cowboys cut him after training camp last season.

The Patriots signed Stanback to their practice squad in September. He joined the active roster in November and played in six games, with two starts, but the Patriots released him Thursday.
