Special-teamer Iwuh signs contract extension with Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Backup linebacker and special-teams standout Brian Iwuh signed a contract extension with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Iwuh, a restricted free agent, has played in 43 games since joining the Jaguars as a undrafted rookie free agent in 2006. Iwuh has 26 tackles and 44 special-teams tackles in three seasons. He could vie for a starting spot this fall with the expected departure of free-agent linebacker Mike Peterson.
