Spears signs restricted free agent tender with Cowboys

IRVING, Texas -- Defensive end Marcus Spears and linebacker Steve Octavien have signed their tender offers to remain with the Dallas Cowboys for another season.

Spears was one of the Cowboys' two first-round draft picks in 2005, the 20th overall. He started in 15 of 16 2009 games and made 50 tackles with 2 1/2 and 16 quarterback pressures.

Octavien tied for fourth on the Cowboys with 12 special teams tackles in 14 games.
