Report: Bucs QB Freeman fined $5K for unnecessary roughness

Josh Freeman's decision-making cost him more than a win over the NFC South rival Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' young quarterback was fined $5,000 by the NFL for his out-of-bounds hit on Falcons cornerback Brent Grimes, the *St. Petersburg Times* reported Thursday.

Grimes' fourth-quarter interception of a Freeman pass sealed the Falcons' 28-24 win, and the quarterback was flagged for unnecessary roughness following the play.
