Redskins sign DL Peterson to free-agent contract

ASHBURN, Va. -- Defensive lineman Greg Peterson has signed a free-agent deal with the Washington Redskins.

The team announced the deal Thursday. Terms of the contract weren't released.

Peterson played in two games for the Jacksonville Jaguars last season and was credited with one tackle. He has 20 tackles in 14 NFL games since being drafted in the fifth round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2007.
