Kroenke is one of three finalists among the field of bidders for the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to a Friday report in The Los Angeles Times.

In addition to Kroenke, the other finalists are a group led by Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson and veteran baseball executive Stan Kasten; and a group led by hedge-fund billionaire Steven Cohen and Los Angeles billionaire and philanthropist Patrick Soon-Shiong.

The Times reported that MLB owners are expected to vote on the final three early this week, and a winner could be identified at some point this week, as well.

Kroenke purchased the remaining stake of the Rams in 2010 to become the majority owner of the franchise. Kroenke also owns the NBA's Denver Nuggets, NHL's Colorado Avalanche and the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer. He also is the majority shareholder of Arsenal Football Club of the English Premier League.
