Prepping for NFL interview? Ex-Jets employee hires counsel

The former New York Jets employee who is in the middle of an NFL investigation involving Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre has retained legal counsel from a Long Island, N.Y., firm, her manager told the St. Paul Pioneer Press on Wednesday.

Jenn Sterger, who now works for the Versus network, has hired Joseph Conway of LaRusso and Conway, manager Phil Reese said. Reese didn't comment on whether or not the firm will advise Sterger on a possible interview with NFL security. Favre met Tuesday with NFL vice president of security Milt Ahlerich. Sterger hasn't commented publicly on the issue.

Favre allegedly sent messages and lewd photos to Sterger in 2008 while playing for the Jets. The NFL launched an investigation on Oct. 8.
