Packers' Driver latest NFL player to dance on ABC reality series

Donald Driver faces an unsettled offseason, given his uncertain contract situation with the Green Bay Packers. But now Driver will at least have something to take his mind off the details of returning for a 14th NFL season.

Driver was announced as one of the participants for the upcoming season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" on Tuesday morning, adding his name to the lengthy list of NFL players to compete in the celebrity dance competition. Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Hines Ward won the competition last spring, and former Dallas Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith is also a past winner, while Jerry Rice was a runner-up when he competed.

Driver also joined Twitter on Tuesday and used his first tweet to discuss his budding TV career.

Michael Irvin, Jason Taylor, Lawrence Taylor, Kurt Warner, Chad Ochocinco and Warren Sapp are the other players to partake in the reality series. This year's "Dancing with the Stars" premiers March 19.

The four-time Pro Bowl receiver will be part of a celebrity lineup that includes actor Jack Wagner, actress Melissa Gilbert, tennis legend Martina Navratilova and Motown great Gladys Knight.

The new cast and their professional dance partners were revealed on ABC's "Good Morning America."

Driver had 37 receptions for 445 yards with six touchdowns this past season.
