Only McClain remains unsigned after Houston reaches deal

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders signed second-round draft pick Lamarr Houston late Monday.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

The contract for the defensive end means the Raiders have signed all but one of their draft picks before players are due to report to training camp Wednesday. The team hopes to have first-rounder Rolando McClain, who is slated to start at middle linebacker, signed by the time the first training-camp practice begins Thursday.

The Raiders picked Houston 44th overall in April's draft. He is being counted on to help turn around the Raiders' struggling run defense. Houston is expected to play left defensive end for the Raiders after playing more at tackle in college at Texas.
