The condition of Ole Miss linebacker Serderius Bryant, who sustained an apparent head injury Saturday night after an awkward collision with Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, is apparently improved.

"Things look good," Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze told clarionledger.com via text message Sunday.
According to reports, Bryant was hospitalized overnight for tests. Bryant was motionless for several minutes after the collision. After the game Freeze said the Rebels' leading tackler was knocked out.
Amid a stunned silence at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Bryant was placed on a gurney with his head immobilized. Bryant gave the crowd a thumbs-up signal as medical staff wheeled him toward the tunnel. He had made a team-high 12 tackles Saturday before his injury.
Bryant emerged as a leader for the Rebels when linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche injured his knee in the Rebels' season opener against Vanderbilt, and missed several weeks. Since Nkemdiche's return, Bryant has continued to be among Ole Miss' top defenders.
It remains unclear when, or if, Bryant will return to play this season.
