Nick Saban gets fingernails painted by hospital patient

Chalk this up in the "Things you'll never see again" category.

Alabama's Nick Saban, the ultimate alpha male of the college coaching business, apparently sat to have his fingernails painted from a patient at the New Orleans Children's Hospital on Monday, when Alabama players and coaches visited as part of the Sugar Bowl week events in advance of Thursday's game against Oklahoma.

Tuscaloosanews.com posted video of the moment, reporting that the manicurist is 12-year-old Gabrielle Mave.

Credit Saban for doing whatever it took to make one child's day. The Crimson Tide coach, 62, belies his tough exterior to help less fortunate people more than most realize. His charity organization, Nick's Kids Fund, has built 15 homes in the Tuscaloosa area for storm victims who lost their houses in the tornado that ravaged the town in April 2011.
